MEET THE POLELICIOUS TEAM
Instructor - SALLY
Sally started her pole dancing journey when she was 18 years old, in February of 2003. She taught herself how to pole dance by watching girls in the exotic dancing industry and copying their moves. The first people Sally witnessed pole dance were exotic dancers, and along with the sensuality they have injected into pole dancing, she could see another artistic and physical quality too.
Sally believes that pole dance is creative and offers a way to express yourself while exercising too. Using strength skills compared to acrobatics, circus arts or even gymnastics and mixing it with the ability to perform, she produces the complete show. In training, Sally pays close attention to detail with her choreography, tricks and stretching. She has performed for numerous events and provides a very entertaining performance suitable for everyone from young to old of all different backgrounds. She hosts parties and is available for shows and/or demonstrations.
As a motivator and instructor with Polelicious since 2010, her goal is to give the enjoyment and empowerment that pole dancing brings her, to her eager students. She uses her experience as a performer, personal trainer and group fitness instructor to develop her approach to teaching and classes. She passes on her skills to guys and girls, elevating their artistic abilities, building their confidence and encouraging them to go further - all while making it fun! Sally teaches beginners through to advanced and also holds a certificate 3 and 4 in fitness and personal training.
Originally from Queensland, Sally enjoys time with her daughter and friends, her hobbies including training, weights, singing and listening to all types of music – when she’s not spinning around a pole that is!
Some of Sally’s credits include; winning her heat at the Melbourne Sexpo Pole comp in 2010 and 2011 and coming 2nd in the Nationals Heat of the same comp in 2010.
Instructor - LILI
Lili started pole fitness in early 2007. Her interest in pole fitness started as a hobby and it quickly became her addiction and obsession. She believes that pole fitness is the most fun way to tone up and build strength and agility.
A fitness junkie, she was previously trained in Taekwondo and is a qualified gym instructor and personal trainer. She is also currently pursuing her Diploma of Fitness and her qualification as a strength and conditioning coach.
As pole fitness instructor Lili teaches with strong focus on technique and safe progressions. She loves the spinning pole so be prepared to work with one of those in her classes. She enjoys strengthening her students in her Poleblaster classes.
She currently teaches in both Dandenong and Clayton studios and is available for private lessons or personal training.
Instructor - DEE
Dee has been pole dancing since 2007 and has been with Polelicious since 2010.
Dee dances wherever she can and puts together her dance routines in her sleep.
She took a pole workshop in Vegas while on holiday just because she missed dancing so much. She takes any extra workshop she can just to get the extra dance time.
She has put together a home gym including a pole for extra motivation in fitness.
Instructor - CRYSTAL
Crystal is our Polelicious born and bred pole dancer. Beginning her journey with us not so long ago, she has fast become addicted to the pole lifestyle and she continues to train at Polelicious to learn new tricks and perfect her technique.
Diverse in her fitness training, Crystal reached black-belt level in Taekwondo, and has dabbled in hip hop, burlesque and latin dancing. Constantly trying to improve herself for the benefit of her students, Crystal regularly partakes in big name pole workshops, and keeps fit and healthy with the help of Polelicious personal training. She loves going to the beach, and playing with her dogs Molly & Siren.
Crystal teaches with a strong focus on safety, and beautiful technique, flow and dance. She currently teaches day, night and weekend classes at beginner and intermediate levels at both our Dandenong and Clayton studios. Crystal is available for performances, demonstrations, private tuition and as a party host.
Instructor/Owner - SHYLIE
Shylie is a late bloomer ... she began pole dancing for fitness & fun in 2008 when she was 40! She has been teaching at Polelicious since late 2009. She has a large family of 6 kids (3 hers, 3 his). Thankfully, all but the youngest have flown the coop, but still live nearby :)
While she doesn't have the pole dancing & competitive backgrounds of some of the other instructors, Shylie has dabbled in the no-where-near-as-exciting calesthenics & tap in her youth. With age - but possibly not maturity - on her side, she is comfortable in the knowledge she will very likely never compete and is more than content to teach pole to anyone who wants to learn. She's the very capable but non-intimidating one of the five instructors!
Shylie teaches at our Clayton and Sale studios. She is also the one you will reach when using either the mobile number or email address on this site.
Our instructors are all very different to each other, but they do have a few things in common:
- they're friendly,
- they're helpful,
- they're approchable, and
- they're obsessed with making sure you point your toes!
